Default GW and Windows Vista

Ok, I tried a search on "Vista" and nothing came up, so just yell at me and point me in the right direction if there is already a thread on this.

I'm curious if anyone has had any issues with Windows Vista and GuildWars? I'm semi-seriously considering getting it and installing it on one of my computers, but I'd be kinda annoyed if there was some sort of issue with GW afterwards. I've heard more than a little bit about different games, especially online games having problems with Vista. Anyone out there have any experience with it that they'd like to share?

it runs fine, minimizing and getting off full screen seems to take alot longer than XP though, cuz some of us don't have dual screen...

Windows Vista does support Guild Wars, i myself use Windows Vista Ultimate and i have no problems what so ever of playing Guild Wars on it. Other games that require openGL for example, do not work yet for me :'(. But Guild Wars works perfectly on Vista, imo even better then XP(my xp hdd is kinda full so it slows everything down)

Running 64-bit Vista Ultimate out here, and no problems.

Im running GW's on Vista and it run's pretty crappy for me. Ive narrowed my issue down to the sound card (audigy zs). If I run it with -mute, it runs great. With sound it runs about 10-15 fps. Im pretty sure it's the crappy driver's for the sound card at this point.

I recently bought Vista and have terrible problems with it. And I Believe its graphics driver-related. I'm running an ATI Radeon X800GT and have 2.5 GB of RAM. It worked flawlessly on XP, but now its severely crippled on Vista. (major graphics corruptions, purple streaks, textures invisible, screen flickering floating heads, shearing, etc.)

I've tried updating my driver to the Vista Catalyst set, and rolling it back, and neither seem to work.

And I also wonder when ANet will "officially" support Vista. Soon, hopefully.

Any advise on this issue would be appreciated.

Hopefully tonight I will be able to try out Guild Wars on my new laptop that has Vista. I think everything will be fine.

What driver version are you running?

You may want to try running in windowed mode and see what happens; I did this for a bit with my old card and it worked.
